About Osejava Hotel

The Osejava Hotel in Makarska is a wonderful new boutique hotel (2009); dating from the 1920s, the hotel has been redesigned using local Dalmatian white stone so the building looks fabulous. Located right on the shore, it is just a five minute walk into the centre of town. Whilst the main beach of Makarska is excellent, there is another smaller pebble beach - Nugal beach - 3 kms southeast of Makarska; waymarked trails to the beach start near the Osejava hotel.

This hotel is available as part of any tailor made holiday with Rediscover the World.

Accommodation: 50 spacious rooms and suites, decorated in white and creams colours, some walls decorated with [a wallpaper of...] photos of old Makarska. All rooms have air- conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, safe and internet access. Mountain and side seaview rooms are available and some rooms have balconies.

Facilities: two restaurants including the a la carte Zalo slow food gourmet choice with a lovely terrace and seaview and the Konoba Parangal for lighter Mediterranean fare including home-made pizzas; Cafe bar and pool bar too. Swimming pool, beauty salon, sauna, massage and internet cafe.

Reviews

"Brilliant place, great location, a class act. This was a cut above all the other places. We would have liked to stay longer. There is plenty to do. We went into the mountains and hired a canoe, pleasant walk in the shady woods and good lunch."

"Hotel Osejava, Makarska. This was a really lovely hotel in the perfect position - away from the main high street so not noisy but with a view over the harbour and less than 5 mins to all the action. The hotel itself was great, really modern with a very interesting interior (not at all what we were expecting from the outside which was quite traditional looking). The breakfasts were great and again the receptionists were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They advised us on a hike up into the hills to a botanical garden - we literally had it to ourselves - there was no entrance fee and it wasn't manned and gave great views over the town and islands. We also visited the island of Hvar from here which was a good day out."

"Hotel Osejava, Makarska: stylish hotel, extremely comfortable. We weren't impressed by the beaches here, but loved the town."

"The suggested itinery provided by Andy was excellent, and a good start to work with to plan our days which were very full and thoroughly enjoyable. The car hire was fabulous and gave us the freedom to explore such a beautiful country. Travelling slightly out of season meant that we avoided the crowds which I can imagine would have spoilt our trip had we gone a month earlier. We did a lot in a relatively short space of time and has given us the apetite to return in the future."
