The Palais Riad Hida is located at the foot of the High Atlas, near the village of Olad Berhil in the Souss-Valley. The gardens and facilities, not to mention the welcome, will make you feel like you are in a small country club. The Riad Hida is not that far from Agadir Airport (about 115 km) so can be easily reached for a short break destination in its own right or is a very useful quiet spot on any fly-drive itinerary of the south. It is 30 km from the south of the Anti-Atlas and 45 km from Taroudant.
The Riad Hida is a palace from another age; this mansion is called after the Pasha who had it built in the 19th century. It was restored and maintained over thirty years by a Danish man, who was seduced by the beauty of the palace and the luxuriant garden that surrounds it. In his will it passed to his Moroccan employee, an inhabitant of the village who opened it initially as a restaurant before turning it into a hotel.
