Santorini day trip from Crete

Summary

Spend a day on the picture-postcard island of Santorini.

Tour Schedule:

Boarding - prior to embarkation at either Heraklion or Rethymnon collect your ticket from the boat company's kiosk and here you will receive your bus number and a leaflet about the island and tour.

Arrival in Santorini - you'll dock in Santorini around 10.40 and will be met by guides, who will direct you to the correct bus.

  • First Stop: Oia

You will depart straight away for Oia. If it is particularly busy (in high season, for example) the buses will go via the quieter east coast. You will enjoy some free time here before moving on to the next stop.

  • Second Stop: Fira

On the way to the town of Fira, your guide will tell you something of the history and the geography of the island. Here you will enjoy the marvellous views from the caldera, the small paved alleyways and the traditional houses.

Afterwards, you will all meet up at the Cathedral of Fira where you will be advised on the final part of the tour.

  • OPTION 1: Visit the black sandy beach of Perissa for swimming and dinner.
  • OPTION 2: Visit the Volcano of Santorini (extra charge). You will enjoy the unique beauty of the volcano and have the opportunity to swim in its hot springs.
  • OPTION 3:  More free time in Fira.

As your day draws to a close you'll return to the vessel where you have a beautiful view of the Aegean and Cretan sea whilst sailing back to Crete.

  • Transportation on buses (including port pick up and drop off in Santorini)
  • Land excursion in Santorini by professional guides.

Extra services offered with additional charge:

  • Optional tour to the volcano and the hot springs by traditional wooden boats.
  • Transfer to the port (and return) from various pick-up points in Crete.

You have the option of travelling in the luxurious Platinum Lounge with a limited number of seats. A member of the crew will be available during the whole trip and a juice, coffee and a sandwich is included.

Departures: 5 times per week from Heraklion and 2 times per week from Rethymnon.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Up to 14 days before tour departure: no cancellation fees
  • From 7 days up to 72 hours before tour departure: 60% of reservation cost
  • No-show:100% of reservation cost is charged as cancellation fees
