Elafonissi is a tiny island with white sand, separated from the shore by a lagoon about a metre deep. This uninhabited island is less than 200 metres from the beach and you can easily walk there through the lagoon.
On both sides of the peninsula you will find gorgeous pink-coloured beaches adorned by myriads of shells. Around a kilometre away you'll come across a cedar forest, which stretches to the seashore to form stunning secluded beaches.
You'll find a few beach cantinas here as well as sunbeds in high season.
