The Riad Soleil d'Orient is located in the heart of the old town of El Jadida, just five minutes' walk from the Portuguese Cistern. Accommodation

Three of the seven themed suites are situated around the central courtyard, a peaceful, cool area shaded by fruit trees. All are equipped with a double bed (two suites can take an extra bed if needed), a seating area with chairs or sofa, Satellite TV, telephone, wifi, air conditioning, a safe and a heater.

Berber Night Suite is the largest suite and is located on the ground floor. It's decorated in tones of ivory and red with sculpted ebony furniture.

Safran Night Suite is also located on the ground floor next to a fig tree. The décor is a subtle combination of Rococo and oriental styles with ivory coloured furniture, gold woodwork, & a stunning blue bathroom. The suite is equipped with a double bed and can take an extra bed.

Lagoon Night Suite is located on the first floor facing an orange tree. Decorated in white, anise and ivory this suite features furniture made from beech wood. An extra bed is available on request.

Ivory Night is on the first floor, just in front of the orange tree. This room is reminiscent of the Sahara with its caramel & orange colours.

Purple Night is a brightly coloured room on the ground floor opening onto the four gardens of the patio. This room delicately combines red and ivory tones. The furniture consists of a four-poster bed & wrought iron armchairs in black and bronze.

Savanna Night Suite is on the first floor just in front of a superb fig tree, and combines traditional Moroccan and African decoration. The wattle and daub coated walls and the beech and ebony furniture will take you on a trip to the African huts and savanna. This suite has a king size double bed.

The Terrace Savanna Night is also on the first floor and is the smallest room. It is also decorated in shades of ivory.

Facilities

For your convenience a table for breakfast or other meals can be set in the patio, the dining-room or the rooftop terrace. Depending upon the time of day or the season, choose between a shady space under the fig and orange trees, an oriental atmosphere in the lounge on the first floor, the dining-room, the muted ambiance of the Berber salon and its fireplace and the intimate space in the library. The rooftop terrace offers a solarium, zelige tables and a Moroccan lounge area under a pergola.

The resident chef concocts authentic as well as inventive and varied Moroccan cuisine and dishes are prepared with fresh produce. For breakfast, there will be Moroccan pastries, cakes, viennoiseries, home made jam, freshly squeezed fruit juice, honey from nearby farms, brioche, scrambled organic eggs and yoghurt; everything is home made. Dinner is on request; notification is required after breakfast at the very latest.
