Itinerary

Arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, transfer shuttle to your accommodation in Cavtat / Konavle. Welcome dinner with the group.

  • Overnight: Cavtat / Konavle.

A hiking tour of the beautiful Konavle countryside starts after a short drive to the village of Kuna (750m above sea level); from there your guide will take you on a hike to a 1234m high peak following the old Austro-Hungarian military trail. From the summit you can enjoy spectacular views to the towns and islands on this section of the most southerly coast of Croatia - the valley of Konavle, as well as a large area of Bosnia and Montenegro. After lunch an easier walk back to the village and then onward drive to your hotel.

  • Overnight: Konavle / Cavtat.

After the breakfast there is a full day to enjoy a thrilling cycle ride from Konavle across the border into Montenegro. After cycling around some small picturesque bays you will cross into Montenegro and continue to the resort town of Herceg Novi. Then, surely the highlight of the day, the trip continues along bay of Kotor, an area with amazing views over the narrow inlet, passing historical towns, dominated by a dramatic hinterland.

Arrival to Kotor Town and balance of day for free time to explore town on your own.

  • Distance: approx. 65 km.
  • Overnight: Kotor.

Today you will leave Kotor town on a transfer and head up into the mountains above the bay and on the way to Bosnia & Herzegovina. Near the top you will leave the vehicle and continue on two wheels on a journey down from the mountain region of Montenegro into the valley of Herzegovina, passing by small towns, farms and a very rural area that was very badly damaged during the war in the 1990s. In the small town of Hum you will join the former railway, now the Ciro cycle path, and continue cycling to small town of Ravno. This interesting and remote part of Herzegovina is very different from both Croatia and Montenegro.

  • Distance: approx. 65 km.
  • Overnight: Ravno / Zavala.

Another day in Bosnia & Herzegovina; continuing along the former railway trail through rural areas of Herzegovina, along the valley of Popovo Polje. The trail will take you to another valley, the dramatic Neretva, a green area with lakes, tributaries and channels.

  • Distance: approx. 60 km.
  • Overnight: Capljina, on river Neretva.

This morning is a different experience, after short transfer to the starting point on the river Trebizat, it is time for a canoe adventure on the river. There is also plenty of time for paddling, swimming, enjoying the scenery and exploring the surroundings on this river adventure. Depending upon stops along the way (for swimming, photos, etc.) you'll finish this adventure around  lunchtime. Lunch on your own.

After lunch there will be a transfer to Mostar (approx. 45 min) where you will have the balance of the day as free time to explore the town on your own.

  • Distance: approx. 8km (canoe safari).
  • Overnight: Mostar.

After the breakfast leave Mostar, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, to travel back into Croatia and on to Dubrovnik. This journey will usually take around 3 hours, down through the mountains. Balance of day free in Dubrovnik to explore the old town, perhaps taking the cable car up Srd hill for the views.

  • Overnight: Dubrovnik.

Breakfast, transfer to Dubrovnik airport for flight home.
