START / FINISH - Marrakech
This itinerary is our recommended holiday for travel to the south of Morocco; it includes travelling between Marrakech, Ouarzazate and the Sahara. It is a beautiful circuit that can include all the "best bits" of the region of gorges and kasbahs. With our many years of experience putting together practical and interesting itineraries for our clients we would like to recommend this journey for you to make the most of your time in this fascinating country. Hotels are personal suggestions but there is usually a choice of styles and budget at each location.
We have great pleasure in offering you the opportunity to experience Morocco accompanied by one of our excellent team of English-speaking drivers.
Travelling with one of our friendly English-speaking drivers allows you to experience much more of the country and its people. Your driver will gladly discuss both your daily schedule and general matters about Morocco and the places you pass; he can arrange local guides or co-ordinate any itinerary of pre-booked sightseeing that we arrange with you beforehand. In addition to your driver's experience and knowledge during your holiday we have also driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about your chosen route or any aspect of travelling with one of our drivers.
Your driver will drive any type of vehicle within their daily rate and this rate also includes their food and lodging.
We are, of course, also able to tailor-make a holiday to suit your requirements for any or all of the following - UK departure airport, budget, hotel type/size, duration, activities, etc.
With our excellent prices for car rental, Morocco has opened up to some quite unique holiday experiences. Roads around the country are improving and are actually pretty good in most places, even in the mountains and desert areas they are now mostly asphalted. We have all driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about your chosen routes.
Accommodation: the hotels in this itinerary are generally small, independent or family-run, properties which add significantly to your travel experience in this fascinating country (in the table below we have included suggestions for upgrades to "boutique" riads and deluxe options, please do not hesitate to request alternative hotels).
Transport: to take the stress out of arriving and departing we also offer a private airport transfer service.
Extra Information: all our holidays have a recommended route with suggestions for sightseeing; we are able, through our local agency, to book activities and specialist sightseeing, particularly in Marrakech - such as cooking, quad bikes, caleche rides, day hikes, etc.
NB. extend this holiday easily by adding nights in any or all of the three locations.
NB: Flights available to book through us with a range of airlines, from various UK airports.

Arrival into Marrakech; private transfer to your hotel or riad.
Day 2 includes a full day of sightseeing in Marrakech; morning with your included guided city tour and free time to explore in the afternoon.
Meet up with your English-speaking driver at your riad; depart for the south across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass. Pass through Ouarzazate and continue down the dramatic Draa Valley.
After a peaceful breakfast by the pool at the Kasbah Azul head off the Draa Valley slightly south of Agdz and take the great southern highway via N'Kob and Al Nif to the edge of the desert at Erfoud. At the friendly Kasbah Tizimi park up and meet your desert guide, swap into a 4WD vehicle for the rough crossing of the semi desert area between Erfoud and Merzouga.
Return from the desert and freshen up at Auberge du Sud on edge of the dunes before returning to join your car and driver in Erfoud. From here you have the opportunity to visit the incredible Todra Gorge and drive along the Dades Valley back towards Ouarzazate.
We recommend staying at two locations (or two nights at the same place near Ouarzazate) prior to heading back over to Marrakech.
Continue back over High Atlas to Marrakech (optional detour via new road from Skoura to Demnate with a night at Kasbah Timdaf). Drop off car and driver at end of day you arrive in Marrakech.
Final day in Marrakech is free for your own sightseeing and last minute shopping.
Private transfer to Marrakech airport for flight home.
Prices are on request and depend on your chosen accommodation and room availability as well as time of travel. "I’m back in the UAE and wanted to drop a note to thanks. The trip exceeded my expectations, all your accommodation choices were superb (in fact, I wish that we had gone for a riad in Marakesh as recommended). Agents on the ground were very responsive and helpful on the occasions when things didn’t go as planned, for example when there was a sandstorm in Merzouga. A special mention for our driver Youssef, who was very professional, knowledgable and helpful every step of the way. I could not have asked for more, and am very happy with how things were organised."

"Seeing the Sahara and experiencing sunset in this magical and barren place. Our guide for the Marrakech walking tour was lovely and knowledgeable and showed up some truly wonderful sites. Our guide/driver down to the Sahara, Wadii, was simply amazing. His humour and friendliness were infectious and every moment of the trip was pure magic. I would recommend him a million times over for any kind of trip in Morocco, be it a desert adventure or trip around Marrakech."
