The Hotel Tisno is located in the immediate vicinity of Šibenik, in the northeastern part of the island of Murter, at the very heart of Tisno. It opened in 2014 following the reconstruction of the family house Gracin which dates from 1898 and which is recognized as a cultural asset by the Croatian Ministry of Culture. Tisno is a small Dalmatian town and was mentioned for the first time in the 15th century under the name Tisno (narrow), due to the narrow channel separating the island from the mainland. The new part of the settlement was built on the mainland and the historic core is located on the north-east side of the island of Murter, and since the year 1832 it has been connected to a movable bridge, the only connection of the island of Murter with the mainland. Today, Tisno's population of 1500 people is mainly occupied by agriculture - wine and olive cultivation as well as by fruit and vegetables.
During your stay in Tisno you will recognise a tradition of tourism developed here since 1923; Tisno abounds in numerous cultural and historical sights, such as the Town's Tower (15th century), Romanic Church of Saint Martin (13th century), Parish Church of the Saint Spirit (1548) and many others. The sanctuary of Mary of Karavaj is where, according to legend, a vision of the Virgin Mary once appeared; each year, on May 26th thousands of believers from all over Dalmatia come on a pilgrimage here. Friendly people, numerous cultural and catering options, great beaches and pleasant Mediterranean climate contribute towards an excellent vacation.
Stylishness and comfort are the words that best describe all nine newly decorated rooms. All rooms have satellite TV, internet, mini bar, telephone, safe, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers.
The hotel has a swimming pool, bar and restaurant; bicycle hire on request.
