Les Trois Chameaux

About Les Trois Chameaux

Les Trois Chameaux (three camels) has a stunning location, just under the ancient fort which dominates the hill above Mirleft. The owners have developed the original 1935 French colonial buildings into a good quality and quite unique small hotel with quite stunning views across the village below and on to the Atlantic.

This hotel is available as part of any tailor made holiday with Rediscover the World.

Accommodation: 20 rooms in total; there are eight standard rooms located mostly around a quiet courtyard in the lower section of the outer buildings and ten suites dispersed around the remainder of the buildings. All ensuite and all of a very good size with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding hills. NB. it is possible to customise suites and connecting rooms for families and groups of friends.

Facilities: swimming pool (16m x 5m) with panoramic terrace and separate children's pool, library, restaurant, lounges. Lots of activities can be arranged such as horse-riding, parascending, fishing, quad bikes, 4WD trips. There is also a traditional hammam and massage room which uses essential Argan oils (typical of the region).

Dining at Les Trois Chameaux guests can enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine: Moroccan salads, briouats (stuffed pastries), pastillas, varied tagines, grilled fish and of course, mint tea and pastries; the staff can also prepare packed lunches for your excursions. You have the choice between eating in the peaceful indoor restaurant, the Moroccan living room with sea view or the Berber tent.

"A great time was had by all thanks and rekindled my long term fondness for Morocco, hopefully I will be booking a High Atlas trek with you before too long as the mountains always tempt me but unfortunately the kids are never so keen. My favourite hotel was Dar Daif which oozed character, wife preferred Trois Chameaux and kids Dar Zitoune but all were great with no hitches, good food and very welcoming. Obviously not your responsibility but I was unaware that the arch at Legzira collapsed last September and the primary reason for going to Mirleft was to photograph the large arch so it was quite a surprise to find a huge pile of rubble at the end of the beach howerver nature is always full of surprises."
