About Barbati
Barbati is a small, charming mountainside village in north-east Corfu with stunning views across to Corfu Town & the towering mountains of Albania.
The village is well served by tavernas, gift shops, a supermarket and the shingle beach is only a 10 minute stroll downhill. This beach is over a kilometre long - it is one of the prettiest on the east coast and is quite undeveloped, though you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas. For a more off-the-beaten-track experience you might like to rent a boat for a lazy day exploring hidden coves.
Nearby is Kalami where the authors Gerald and Lawrence Durrell lived for many years.
