Kasbah Itran

Kelaa M'Gouna

About Kasbah Itran

The Kasbah Itran overlooks the Dades Valley near Kelaa M'Gouna. Located between the Atlas and the Sahara, Kasbah Itran is like a balcony overlooking the life of Berber people in the Dades Valley. Kasbah Itran was built using traditional materials - earth, water and straw to form adobe blocks. These blocks are used to make the thick walls; the roofs are made of bamboo stems intertwined with cedar logs.
