Facilities

The hotel offers an unrivalled choice of restaurants:

GB Roof Garden Restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine) on the 8th floor is ideal for a romantic meal; the restaurant received one Toque d'Or award with Chef de Cuisine as well as an award from Wine Spectator magazine. Far-reaching views of the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill & Syntagma Square.

The Winter Garden (International cuisine) is next to the lobby. Live piano music in the evenings. Afternoon tea here is an institution!

On the first floor of the hotel, a "secret garden" welcomes you. Surrounded by olive trees, laurels, small cypress trees and flowers THE ATRIUM of Alexander's Lounge (Latin American cuisine) is worth a visit.

The rooftop Pool Bar (Greek cuisine) offers magnificent views of Athens. Decorated with pergolas, sun loungers, tables, and comfortable chairs, this is an ideal spot to enjoy a refreshing drink or light snack. The GB Pool Bar operates summer only.

Alexander’s bar was voted the Best Hotel Bar in the world by Forbes magazine. The rare 18th-century tapestry of Alexander the Great’s entrance into Gavgamila is a trademark fixture of the hotel—and hangs with pride behind the gleaming wood bar for all to admire. The staggering selection of premium spirits displayed behind the bar (many are exclusive to the Hotel Grande Bretagne) is worth a visit alone.

Alexander’s Lounge is a sophisticated space located in the hotel’s inner garden and offers an ideal setting for enjoying fine cigars, wines, liquors, coffee, or tea.

The seasonal open air BAR 8 overlooks Lycabettus Hill and the city of Athens from above.

The multi-award winning GB Spa offers a wide range of beauty treatments and massages, as well as a hair salon. There is a fitness room on the lower level of the hotel and two swimming pools: one indoor which is heated and the outdoor pool on the roof (summer only).
