This three day tour stops at Delphi and the world-renowned Meteora Monasteries. This can be added to any holiday which includes a stay in Athens.

Delphi is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The sanctuary of Apollo sits on a mountain slope with far reaching views to the valleys below. Pilgrims used to flock here to consult the priestess of Apollo on matters of love and war! This 3 day trip gives you a little bit of free time in Delphi as well as a visit to the site itself.

From here the journey cuts through central greece to Kalambaka, which nestles at the foot of the towering Meteora rocks, another UNESCO site. These rocks are crowned by monasteries, which are around 500 years old. Originally there were 24; today only 6 are functioning with the rest in ruins. One of the most holy places in Greece.

Dates of Operation

  • From May to end of October: Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday plus some Fridays.
  • Departure on Day 1 - 08:45
  • Return on Day 3 - 19:00

Not included: In January 2018 Greece introduced an Overnight Stay Tax per room per night, which is payable locally - the amount varies according to the category of the accommodation (i.e. 5* hotel: 4,00€ per overnight per room, 4* hotel: 3,00 € per overnight per room, 3* hotel: 1,50 € per overnight per room)
